Event 29 November 2019
ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â, along with its partners, is involved in several side events at COP25 in Madrid, from 2 to 13 December 2019. This is an important step in the talks between countries prior to implementation of the Paris agreement, scheduled for 2020. The summit also marks the final year of the Koronivia joint work on agriculture, decided during COP23 in Bonn.

Monday 9 December – 2:40 to 4:50 pm - Institut de la francophonie pour le développement durable Pavilion 
With the participation of Julien Demenois, ecology researcher and 4 per 1000 correspondent at ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â, on restoration of soils and of the multifunctionality of degraded forest landscapes in Ivory Coast.

Alliance for the Conservation of Rainforests

Tuesday 10 December – 4:30 to 5:30 pm – Hall 6 Benelux Pavilion, IFEMA 
With the participation of Alain Rival, ÁùºÏ²Êͼ¿â Regional Director for Southeast Asian islands, who will be presenting the TRAILS project (Climate resilient landscapes for wildlife conservation) in Malaysia. This side event will be introduced by: Elisabeth Borne, Minister for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition (France); Teodoro Ribera, Minister of Foreign Affairs (Chile); Hugo Moran, Secretary of State for the Environment (Spain); Maria Elva Pinckert, Minister of the Environment and Water (Bolivia).
